With over 25 years of experience in finance, capital raising, and business development across Asia and the UK, Stephen brings a global outlook and entrepreneurial mindset to his role as Business Development Director at De Villiers Surveyors.
His background includes senior roles in investment banking and startup advisory, with achievements such as raising £1.3 million for a sports tech firm and expanding brand presence across Asia. He has worked in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, and London, building high-level partnerships and leading growth initiatives.
At De Villiers Surveyors, Stephen focuses on expanding client relationships, developing strategic alliances, and strengthening the firm’s presence in the UK property market. He holds a Hong Kong SFC Type 1 Responsible Officer license and previously served as a Managing Director in investment banking.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys rugby, football, hockey, and squash. He has advised the children’s charity FCPU, served as Treasurer of Resurrection Church in HK, and captained one of HKFC’s rugby teams. He loves cooking and wines from around the world, and speaks conversational Mandarin (汉语).
