De Villiers completed the full refurbishment of a dilapidated 1970’s industrial building into a mixed use block of offices and residential use.
De Villiers obtained planning consent for the necessary changes and the works were put out to tender and the contractors chosen.
As well as the complete refurbishment and creation of 3 flats it was also necessary to ensure the highest level of environmental credentials for the building. The refurbishment included a thermal wrap externally, internal insulation layers, double glazing and the installation of solar panels on the roof. The building has now achieved a 50% reduction in electricity bills, reduced emissions and a B EPC rating.
The income the building generates has also now been trebled.
