De Villiers acted for an International Car Group when they sold their head-leasehold interest, in a purpose-built 1960's block in Camden, London to a National Carpet Retailing Company in 2007.
The six-storey block consisted of former motor car sales showroom on the ground floor, with the upper floors containing 16 leasehold flats, all of which were held on short leases.
De Villiers negotiated the premium payable to International Car Group and now acts for Carpet Retailing Company whenever one of the under-leaseholders applies for a lease extension under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, the Housing Act 1996 and the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
